LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, June 13, 2012 — ELAN® has a lot to celebrate at INFOCOMM 2012, as the company looks back at a year of providing commercial facilities ranging from restaurants, bars, sports training facilities, hotels, production manufacturing centers, and retailers with the ultimate in entertainment and control with the ELAN g! Entertainment & Control System. The ELAN g! System has been consistently recognized by light commercial installers and end users as being the easiest to install, easiest to manage, easiest to upgrade, and, most importantly, easiest to use entertainment and control system currently available from any manufacturer.

According to ELAN President Paul Starkey, ““Many of our commercial customers started out as happy residential g! customers. Once they experienced the truly unique benefits of living with g! at home they had to have the same experience in their respective line of work! We’re excited to be at INFOCOMM 2012 with our commercial partners, celebrating the past year and looking forward to new opportunities in the market.”

Celebrity chef, and television star Buddy Valastro chose the ELAN g! system to run Carlo’s Bakery Lackawanna, his new, custom designed state-of-the-art 35,000 square foot bakery production center in Jersey City, New Jersey. 360 Media Innovations installed the system to control 65 speakers distributed across 11 audio zones, allowing employees to choose what music plays in their area from two Sirius satellite radio receivers, two AM/FM radio receivers and four iPod docks.

The Trois Rivieres Training indoor sports facility in St. Cloud, Minnesota now has an ELAN g! system that allows trainees to dock their iPods and listen to their own music while they train. The system, installed by the custom installation team at Cybermation, Inc., also pulls together three audio zones, several flat screen TVs, multiple surveillance cameras and the building’s security system, which the owner has complete control over, even when he’s on the road.

360 Media Innovations helped the owners of the New Jersey-based restaurant Delicious Heights, create a 21st Century hospitality environment by installing an ELAN g! system. The company integrated an entire lighting system, five digital signage displays, more than 30 flat screen TVs showing eight video sources and 50 speakers broken into eight audio zones into the ELAN g! system.

After suffering a series of break-in attempts to their family owned chain of pharmacies, The Lomax family realized that they needed a security system that would allow them to always keep an eye on the business, even when they’re 50 miles away at home. They contacted Arkansas-based Sound Concepts, who suggested the ELAN g! Control System to give them remote control over the store’s surveillance cameras, security system, heating, air conditioning and lighting.

The ELAN g! Control System provides users with the most uniform and intuitive icon-based control from their favorite devices including TVs, touchscreens, touchpads, PCs, iPhones and iPads. The standardized interface works across platforms, so that the trendy g!Mobile app users love on the iPhone appears and works similarly on ELAN touchscreens, valets and handheld remotes as well as users’ televisions and mobile devices. And the system’s IP backbone makes it just as easy to control the system from across the room – or across the globe.

Individual “apps” for each subsystem allow the user to control security, climate, lighting, media, irrigation, pool/spa, messaging, video and photos with the flick of a finger. Access is fast and secure through any ELAN home interface or globally with mobile Internet enabled devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Netbooks and PC Tablets. Since the intuitive interface empowers users with personalized scheduling and detailed history views, high consumption subsystems like lighting and climate can be closely monitored and managed for a greener lifestyle – and substantial energy savings.
