Dealers Win Top Awards for Luxury Home, Multi-Room AV, Security, and Retrofit of the Year, With Finalists Placing in Innovation and TechHome Integrator of the Year Categories

LEXINGTON, KY – ELAN® Home Systems, a leading manufacturer of award-winning IP home control and multi-room A/V distribution systems, announced that two of its top Dealers, Cybermation and Link Your House finished the Consumer Electronics Association’s 2010 Mark of Excellence Awards with four Platinum Awards. The announcement was made by Paul Starkey, ELAN’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, following the awards ceremony at the Electronic House Expo Spring event in Orlando, Florida.

Thomas L. Ardolf, President of Cybermation in Waite Park, Minnesota was the clear standout this year among ELAN’s Dealers with Platinum awards for Multi-Room Audio Video Product of the Year, Integrated Security Project of the Year, and Retrofit Project of the Year over $100,000. “Dov Goldman of DreamHome Technologies in NYC was named a finalist in the Innovation category with Ryan Herringer of Sound Concepts in Jonesboro Arkansas also named finalist in the TechHome Integrator of the Year category.

“This was a proud night for ELAN with our Dealers claiming four of the Platinum Systems Integrator awards – one of the most prestigious honors in our industry,” said Mr. Starkey. “All of these installations are awesome in their scope and presentation but Tom and Susie Ardolf at Cybermation deserve special recognition for winning three of the eleven awards. This is one of the few times a single Dealer has won Platinum across such a wide range of projects and we are especially proud of their achievement.”

Cybermation’s Platinum wins included Multi-Room AV where they provided an easy-to-use 29-zone, multi-building, indoor/outdoor AV System, blending the client’s architectural tastes and passion for technology. Their Security win featured an intuitive local & remote home control system integrating all aspects of home technology, in three separate buildings, encompassing AV, security, lighting and irrigation control. Their Retrofit win was for an extremely challenging installation of a complete control system with 16-zones of distributed audio / video with security/CCTV/lighting for the client’s entire property. DreamHome’s finalist placement for Innovation came for their Home Theater / Basketball Court installation now being featured on the Bravo Network reality show “9 By Design,” while Sound Concepts’ win came for their outstanding performance and business achievements in spite of the down economy.

The Mark of Excellence Awards program, presented by CEA’s TechHome Division, recognizes the best in home electronics products, services, and installed technology. Each year, manufacturers, distributors, and systems integrators enter to compete in award categories for this coveted honor judged by independent experts within the industry. The Mark of Excellence Awards program culminates with the announcement of the winners at the Mark of Excellence Awards Presentation, held during the EHX (Electronic House Expo) Spring event in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center.
